Our Story

Introduction to Rodlock

Rodlock (Pty) Ltd was founded by Rudolph Viljoen, the inventor of our patented locking device. With more than 30 years of experience in engineering and civil projects—both on construction sites and his farm—Rudolph faced ongoing challenges with container security.

Frustrated by repeated break-ins and the resulting delays, financial losses, and operational disruptions, he set out to design a locking mechanism that would provide a reliable solution. His innovation has since evolved into the core product of Rodlock, offering enhanced security and peace of mind for container owners.
